Well you certainly won’t have to worry about “social distancing” from people in this spa, as it’s just you and I!  My client’s health is my #1 priority as I follow very strict hygiene practices.  I go above and beyond what is required by TDLR law in my sanitation and disinfecting measures.  I’ve invested my time and money in additional extensive training and certifications.  Since receiving my original Manicurists license from the State of Texas I’ve gone on to receive 5 more certifications.

I am a licensed Advanced Nail Technician (ANT). 

This means I can safely work with clients who have special health needs, such as those with diabetes or chronic health conditions.  I love working with the elderly and I’ve actually worked the past 2 years at an Assisted Living Facility in Leander on my days off from the spa.  

 

I am certified in Infection Prevention Training

Through this education I discovered a disinfectant better than the normal barbicide which most salons use.  

 

I am a natural nail care specialist 

I do not offer acrylic or dipping powder services.  That means there won’t be any toxic fumes or particles in the air.  These products can look nice, but they are not healthy for you and cause a lot of damage to your nails.  I also specialize in nail rehab after damaging acrylic use. As most people know, your skin is your bodies largest organ!! 

 

I will never use any blades or “cheese grater” tools to shave off calluses.  This practice is illegal in the State of Texas and can lead to cuts, bleeding, and infections like STAPH or MRSA.  Nail techs use these “tools” because it’s faster to achieve a smoother foot but it actually makes your callouses grow back 5 times thicker!  I have had to fix many of clients feet from these illegal techniques so if you have gone places where they did this to you I’m sorry, but the good news is  I can help you and get your feet back to where they should be!  I use a foot file made with high-quality stainless steel.  It’s uniquely designed and double-sided with a coarse side for callus removal and a fine side for smoothing.  Remember, your skin is the bodies largest organ.  You don’t want someone completely removing it! I will help you improve it and send you home with the right products to maintain it!
